To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby petition for my land claim in the 'Ili of Puupuhi, Ahupua'a of Aikane /Waikane/, District 6, Division 2, Island of Oahu. There are 23 lo'i, 4 kula, 1 house site. One lo'i adjoins the mo'o of Palauhulu. The right was from the Konohiki, from the time of Kamehameha I.

The claimant received No. 1 from his parents, who had it in the days of Kamehameha I, and he has held it in peace up to this time. No. 2 he received from Kanealae from 1840. I have known of his possessing it without dispute. He had it however, long before 1840.

Palauhulu, sworn says, I am an old resident of Waikane, and can verify, as I now do, the testimony of Kekoaihulukea.
