The Land Commissioners, greetings to you all: I, Makaino, subject of Hawaii living at Makaawanui, island of Kauai, hereby state my land claim. On the west it is 37 fathoms, on the east, 24 fathoms, on north, 77 fathoms, on the west 37 fathoms /sic/ There is a kula and a house lot. Those are all my claims for land, which was held /from the time of/ Kuhia, to Kaulaloa.
