Royal Patent,
Upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land titles have by their decision awarded unto Thomas Sam, an estate of Freehold less than Allodial in and to the land hereafter described, and as in this case, the Government has relinquished the usual commutation for a Fee Simple Title
Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands by this Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely in Fee Simple, unto the said Thomas Sam all that certain piece of land situate at Kawahaeleele Kalihi, in the Island of Oahu, and described in surveyed boundaries, as follows:
Commencing at makai West corner of this land on river, being also the mauka North corner of Umi Anapili by[?] Alexander Adams and running South 37° 45' East 7[?] chains 34 9/12 feet across river and along Umi to angle of wall, ....
