Royal Patent upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Robert Robinson Claim No. 231, an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas the said Robert Robinson has commuted the Title as awarded for a Fee Simple Title, by payment of Fifty Dollars into the Royal Exchequer.
Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto the said Robert Robinson all that certain piece of land situated at Keahua Akahi, Hamakua in the Island of Hawaii, and described by surveyed boundaries as follows:
Commencing at small Ohia tree marked + in gulch dividing this land from Kaloupaa, at makai edge of thick wood and running
North 88° West 7 chains 35 feet across this land to stake ....
