Land Patent No. 8138 In Confirmation of Land Commission Award

Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet land titles did by Land Commission Award No. 2937, Part 3 award to William Harbottle, an estate of freehold less than allodial in the land hereafter described,

And whereas proper application has been made to the Commissioner of Public Lands by A.W. Carter Treasurer for the American Sugar Company Limited, a corporation duly incorporated under the laws of the Territory of Hawaii for a Patent of the herein described land, and whereas a certificate of boundaries defining the same having been duly filed and the Government Commutation thereon amounting to Thirty seven 50/100 ($37.50) Dollars having been duly paid,

Therefore, the Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, in conformity with the Laws of the United States of America and of the Territory of Hawaii, by this Patent makes known t ....

To have and to hold the above granted land in Fee Simple, absolute unto the said William Harbottle, and his heirs and assigns forever.

In Witness whereof, The Governor of the Territory of Hawaii has hereto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the Territory to be hereunto affixed, this 8th day of July, A.D. 1902.
