Land Patent No. S-8621 Issued In Confirmation of Land Commission Award

Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles, did, by its decision, award by Land Commission Award No. 8559-B, Apana 19 to William C. Lunalilo, an estate in Fee Simple in the land hereafter described, and

Whereas, application has been made to the Board of Land and Natural Resources by Kaupo Ranch, Ltd., a Hawaii corporation, whose address is Post Office Box 539, Makawao, Maui, Hawaii 96768-0539, claiming to be the present owner of said land for a Patent covering same, and

Whereas, the award was made by name only as found on page 481 of Volume 10 of Land Commission Awards on file in the department of Land and Natural Resources, State of Hawaii; and Whereas, Boundary Certificate filed July 8, 1991 in the second Circuit of the State of Hawaii under S.P. No. 89-0001 (1) and also recorded in the Bureau of Conveyances of the State of Hawaii on July 15, 1991, as Document No. 91-094809 adjudicated 396.7 acres, more or less; and

Whereas, there is no government commutation due thereon.

Now, Therefore, the State of Hawaii, in conformity with the laws of the State of Hawaii, by this Patent makes known to all men that it has this day granted and confirmed absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto ....

.... beginning, further being in the center of Kalepa Stream, the coordinates of said point of beginning referred to Government Survey Triangulation Station "Pohaku Palaha" being: 10,469.1 feet South; 8,416.8 fee East and running by azimuths measured clockwise from true South:

1. 272° 30' 00" 2000.00 feet along the Kuahiwi, along Land Commission award 11216, Apana 26 to M. Kekauonohi;
2. 313° 49' 00" 3470.5 feet along same;
3. 303° 25' 00" 4077.2 feet along same to a point in the center of Kukuiula Gulch;
4. 336° 32' 30" 815.2 feet along the center of said Kukuiula Gulch;
5. 87° 30' 00" 5120.00 feet along Land Patent S-8597, along said Land Commission Award 8559-B, Apana 19 to William C. Lunalilo to the center of Kalepa Stream;
6. 166° 15' 00" 1883.4 feet along the Kaupo-Kapahulu boundary;
7. 145° 28' 30" 4706.00 feet along same to the point of beginning and containg [sic containing] an area of 396.7 Acres, more or less;
