To Mr. Richards
I have herewith enclosed you a copy of the document drawn by you for lands given me by Hoapili Wahine, not knowing the form I should use in presenting my claims to the Board of Commissioners, I beg to request you will be kind enough to do it for me I shall ever remember with gratitude our kindness

I, Hoapili Wahine, hereby confirm for ever to William Shaw and his Hawaiian-born heirs, a certain farm in Honokawai by the name of Haenanui, which farm has a fishing ground connected with it.

I also give him another farm by the name of Loinui which extends up into the mountains.
I also further give to the said Shaw and his heirs a certain farm in Waikapu by the name of Waiolimu.

.... u are his heir, everything is for you. John and George lived together with John and with the husband of his mother sometime. I do not know who had built the enclosure. but a pili grass house is in there.

It was postponed until there is a return to Oahu at which time work will be resumed.
