Kamehameha III, By the grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this his Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors if office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee simple unto. William French, his loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Fifty Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Pookanaka Waimea, in the Island of Hawaii, and described as follows:
Said land is the lot first built on by said French in 1838, and since that time occupied by Harry Purdy keeper of the cattle belonging to said French. There is at present on said land ....
