Upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Kaehu Claim 669B part 1 and Hapee, claim 2713 estates in Freehold less than Allodial in and to the land hereafter described (the two lots included in one survey) and whereas it has been made to appear to the satisfaction of the Privy Council, that all of the rights, title and interest of the aforesaid Kaehu and Hapee have been transfered [sic] to J.H. Smith.
Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this royal patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely in Fee Simple unto the said J.H. Smith in consideration of the sum of Fifty-Five Dollars paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of land situate at Kaalaalalo Honolulu aina, in the Island of Oahu, and described by surveyed boundaries, as follows:
Commencing at a point on the Nuuanu Road and running North 52 ½[°] West 3 Chains 3 Links along Kaumupo's land, then 46° East 12 Links and
North 45° West 41 1/ ....
