Acting in behalf of the owners of the Ahupuaa of Puumoi, Land Commission Award 6247, Hilo, Hawaii & in conformity with the Act entitled "An Act to facilitate the settlement of boundaries, ["] I would respectfully request that you fix upon some date, between the 2nd or 3rd week of march next, if convenient to you, as the one when you will site on the case.

I further subjoin the names of adjoining lands & owners thereof so far as known to me & have further to request that you likewise extend notice to them.

Present: W.W. Goodale, Manager of the Onomea sugar Co.; A.B. Loebenstein, George Williams, D.I. Wailani, B. Waialee, Waiono, Namauu, Manumanu, Maikaaloa Kauhi, Keoho, & others.

Application of the Onomea sugar co. for settlement of the Boundaries of the Land Puumoi, read, also Notice published in the Hawaiian Gazette of February 14, 21 & 28, and Kuokoa of February, read in court, for hearing this day.

Evidence
A.B. Loebenstein, sworn, I surveyed the land of Puumoi. It begins at the sea and runs up into the woods; on the South side it adjoins Kalaoa, a gulch called "Leinahapuna" being between; the gulch ends just below the woods, then follow up the old road, which is the boundary of Kalaoa and Puumoi to "Kapuwai," a swamp there, at the head of Kalaoa as certified, and at this point it joins Papaikou. Puumoi runs along Papaikou, on one side, and Alakahi on the other. From Kapuwai I ran an independent course, as we did not know just where to go, and upon reaching a point supposed to be the junction of Papaikou and Alakahi, I set a flag, and triangulated to it from points fixed by the Government, in order to determine where it should strike the Papaikou line, and also had to locate the end of line #11 of the Papaikou Certificate No. 165 - which is a bearing about five miles lo ....

40. North 40° 10' East "true" 292 feet the middle of the Mokuoniki gully the boundary to the junction of the same with the Alakahi stream known from here on to the sea as the Hanawi;
41. South 77° 40' East "true" 367 feet the middle of the Hanawi stream the boundary;
42. North 33° 50' East "true" 445 feet the middle of the Hanawi stream the boundary;
43. South 70° 23' east "true" 485 feet the middle of the Hanawi stream the boundary to point of rocks at foot of bluff and mouth of stream called Kalaeekeiki; thence
44. South 26° 52' East "true" 276 feet around the bluff, the boundary being along the sea coast at high water mark to the mouth of the Kalaoa stream; thence
45. South 67° 00' West "true" 952 feet along the middle of the Kalaoa stream to the Initial point
Containing an area of 847.3 acres

It is therefore adjudged and I do hereby decide and Certify that the Boundaries of the said land are and hereafter shall be as hereinbefore set forth.
