The Ahupuaa of Kioloku, district of Kau, Island of Hawaii, 3d Judicial Circuit

On this the 14th day of October A.D. 1873 the Commission of Boundaries for the Island of Hawaii, 3d Judicial circuit met at Waiohinu, Kau on the application of D. Kalakaua for the hearing of the testimony for the boundary of Kioloku, situated in the District of Kau, in said Island of Hawaii.

Due notice personally served on owners or Agents of adjoining lands, as far as known.

Present: J.G. Hoapili for applicant, and His Majesty; W.T. Martin for the Hawaiian Government.

Kumauna 2d, Kane, sworn, I was born at Kahuku at the time of Kawaaakua, after Peleleau, moved to Kioloku at the time of Ainoa, and have lived there ever since; Puumau of Honuapo and Kaahui (now dead) who were kamaainas, pointed out the b ....

South 71 1/4° East 18.48 chains to lilac tree marked I on top of Palilauu;
South 70° East 35.40 chains to Kahiapo's grave below Palilauu [page 100]
North 89 1/4° East 39.40 chains to O cut in the pahoehoe rock near the sea at a point called "Pohakau;" thence
North 89 1/4° East about 3.00 chains to the extreme end of the point. Thence along the shore about the following general courses; viz.;
South 45° West 25.00 chains, and
South 6 1/2° West 8l20 chains to the place of commencement.
