The ahupuaa of Kaiholena 1st and 2nd, North Kohala, Island of Hawaii.
On this fourteenth day of April A.D. 1873, by adjournment from the eleventh instant (See Folio 66 No. 16) [Nunulu Nui ahupuaa], the application of Henry B. Jackson, by his attorney in fact, Theo. H. Davies, for the settlement of the boundaries of the lands Kaiholena 1st and Kaiholena 2nd came on to be heard at Puuhui. Present: James Woods for the applicant & G.C. Wiltse, for the Hawaiian Government, Kama for self. Royal Patents Nos 1972, 2725 and 781 and 2324, 2511 and 2509, filed for boundaries of said lands as established by said Royal Patents for a portion of boundaries of Kaiholena 1st adjoining a portion of Paoo 6, Lamaloloa and Halawa, also for a portion of the boundaries of Kaiholena 2nd, adjoining Halawa and a portion of Makeanehu.

To the Honourable Rufus a. Lyman, Commissioner of boundaries for the Third Judicial Circuit, to wit, the Island of Hawaii. The petition of Theo. H. Davies, Attorney in fact for Henry B. Jackson of England, respectfully represents unto your Honour the Commissioner as follows: That the aforesaid, Henry B. Jackson, is possessed of a tract of land situated in Kohala, in the l
land of Hawaii, called the Ahupuaa of Kaiholena 1 & 2." That the aforesaid land or Ahupuaa of Kaiholena 1 & 2 was awarded by the Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles by name only, and not by survey, and that the boundaries of the same are as yet undefined.
That the following is the list of lands adjoining the said land of Kaiholena 1 & 2 and the owners of the same. as far as the same are known to your petitioner, to wit:

That the boundaries of the said land of "Kaiholena 1 & 2" as claimed by your petitioner, are more fully set forth in the accompanying notes of survey, marked "Exhibit B."
That all and singular the premises are within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Commissioner of Boundaries:
Wherefore your petitioner respectfully prays that the boundaries of the said land of Kaiholena 1 & 2 may be decided and certified to by your Honour, the Commissioner, and that a certificate defining the said boundaries may be issued to your petitioner, and that to this end a day, hour and place may be appointed for the hearing of this petition and the proofs then and there to be adduced, and that the due notice according to law may be made to all persons [page 80] interested in the said matter to appear and show cause, if any they have, why the said petition should not be granted.
And your petitioner will every pray &c

South 75° West 5.50 chains to a pile of stones on the east side of the Government road; Thence
South 87° West 46.00 chains passing water hold called Waipahoehoe to a pile of stones at the mauka corner of Kaiholena 2d. Thence the boundary of Kaiholena 2d runs makai along Kaupalaoa
South 71° West (at 11.00 chains crossing old Government road) 36.00 chains to a pile of stones at a place called Kaiawa opposite the Puuhooohill, the mauka corner of the land Makeanehu. Thence along said land
South 81° 50' West 21.50 chains to the top of hill called Kupapanui; thence
South 60° West 7.00 chains to a rock marked X at the mauka corner of land in Makenehu patented to Kama; Thence along said land as described in Royal Patent No. 2511;
