.... from Haleaha onto Waiaka, the boundary crosses this gulch and runs up the hill Laelae, where Waiaka 1st is cut off by Haleaha. The corners of four lands join here. Haleaha joins Waiaka 1st and cuts it off and Kauniki joins Waiaka 2nd and cuts that off. thence the boundary between Waiaka 1st and Waiaka 2d runs makai along a kuaiwi to the Kawa (jumping off place); thence crosses the gulch and runs to the Kohala road; thence to the Government road to Kawaihae. Kapaipuna's (W. Edwards's) house is as far from the boundary as from the Court House to the school house, on Waimea plains. At kuaiwi runs along the boundary to Pohakuloa.
Cross-examined

I can go and point out the boundaries around the land of Waiaka; have heard that Lyons surveyed the land, but I do not know whether he surveyed to the true boundaries or not.

The boundaries I learned in olden times are the ones I have testified too [sic] today, and I have never heard of any dispute in regard to them.

Testimony closed.

Decision
I hereby decide and certify the boundaries of Waiaka 1st to be as given in the evidence of these witnesses. Notes of survey ordered to be filed according to the above testimony and marks to be erected previous to Certificate of Boundaries being issued.
R.A. Lyman, Commissioner of Boundaries, 3d Judicial Circuit

The above land is patented by survey under name of Waiakanui, No. [left blank]
