The Commission of boundaries for the Island of Hawaii, 3d & 4th Judicial Circuits of the Hawaiian Islands met at the Hilo Court House at 1 p.m. after notice has been personally served on the owners of the adjoining lands, and also by publishing Notice of the time of hearing, for three weeks in the English and Hawaiian Languages in the Hawaii Herald.
The following letter having been received.

Dear Sir:
I regret to say that Mr. F.S. Dodge, our Land Agent, is still seriously indisposed and will be unable to appear for the Estate at the Hearings in re Boundary Certificates of Pahoehoe, Kauaea, and Kaueleau set by you for 27th and 28th instants.
If possible we would ask that said Hearings be delayed for at least one month´s time, when I hope Mr. Dodge will be able to be in attendance.
Regretting this unavoidable delay, I remain

Dodge, Land Agent for Estate of B.P. Bishop, that the Hearing for the settlement of the Boundaries of Kaueleau, District of Puna, Island of Hawaii, be continued until 10 a.m., May 25th 1899.

Owing to illness, the Commissioner of Boundaries went to Honolulu, Oahu, and found that Frank S. Dodge is too unwell to attend to business and Trustees Estate B.P. Bishop ask to have hearing continued until the return of Commissioner of Boundaries to Hilo.

The Commission of Boundaries for the Island of Hawaii, 3d and 4th Judicial Circuits, Hawaiian Islands, met at the Court House, Hilo, Island of Hawaii, by adjournment from the 9th of November 1899.

Dear Sir:
On behalf of the Trustees under the Will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, I hereby make application for the settlement of the boundaries of the land of Kaueleau, Puna, Hawaii, Land Commission Award 7713, Apana 13 to V. Kamamalu, and also for the reopening of the case of Kauaea, Land Commission Award 7713, Apana 14, for the correction of certain errors in the survey.
The map and surveys have been made by Mr. A.B. Loebenstien, and will be sent to you if needed. He has also sent me the following list of adjoining properties with the present owners, as far as known.
See list attached.

2. North 53° East 13.00 chains to a pile of stones;
3. North 69° west 16.53 chains to a cocoanut tree;
4. South 30° West 31.92 chains;
5. South 69° East 15.10 chains to initial point, and containing an area of 42. 13/20 acres
Making the whole land of Kaueleau to contain an area of 2157.89 acres more or less.

It is therefore adjudged, and I do hereby certify and decide that the boundaries of the land of Kaueleau including the tract of land that has not been sold and Patented by the Hawaiian Government, and the portions of said lands that have been sold and Patented by the Hawaiian Government, are, and hereafter, shall be as herein before set forth.
