Petition

To R.F. Bickerton, Commissioner of Boundaries for the Island of Oahu

The undersigned David L. Kalawaia, states that he is entitled to a certain portion of all that parcel of land awarded to Laumaka by Mahele Award Number 50 and being the Ili of Haunapo, situated in Kalihi in said Honolulu and being bounded and described in accordance with the notes of survey hereunto attached and made a part of this petition.

That the land surrounding said Ili of Haunapo is the land of Kalihi; that the persons owning lands adjoining said Ili of Haunapo, so far as the same are known to your petitioner are Charles T. Gulick, AntonePuena[?], Kaiapa G. Waller, W.L. Wilcox, A. Herbert, M. Stuart[?] Heir of the Estate of Adams (leased to A. Herbert) and the Hawaiian government; Therefore the undersigned prays that a day may be appointed for hearing upon the above petition and that said above mentioned boundaries may be confirmed.

Boundary Commissioner's Notice
Application having been made to the undersigned by D.L. Kalawaia for the settlement of the boundaries of the Ili of Haunapo, situated at Kalihi, District of Kona, Island of Oahu, being Land Commission Award 9967, Mahele B. [50]

Notice is hereby given to all owners of adjoining lands, and all persons interested in said boundaries, that there will be a hearing for the settlement of said boundaries; that the said matter will come on for hearing at my office, Merchant Street, Honolulu, on Wednesday, September 16th, 1885, at 1 o'clock p.m.
