In the matter of the settlement of the boundaries of the land of Halawa, Island of Molokai
Honolulu, April 30th 1902
Proper application having been made, April 8, 1902 by F.S. Dodge for the trustees under the will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop for the settlement of the boundaries of Halawa, Island of Molokai.
After due notice in the P.C. Advertiser and Kuokoa newspapers and also notice as far as known to the adjoining owners.
Hearing at Honolulu, April 30th 1902
F.S. Dodge appeared for the Bishop Estate. S. Mahaulu for the Government and J.F. Brown for the land of Keopukaloa.
F.S. Dodge filed notes of Halawa and presented map of same made by M.D. Monsarrat; said map and notes being approved by W.D. Alexander, Surveyor General. He stated that he wished the boundaries settled according to the notes and map.
M.D. Monsarrat stated that he had made the survey and map of Halawa in accordance wth the evidence of the old kamaainas and surveys of adjoining lands. Also had been on the lands with said kamaainas who pointed out the boundaries to him.
S. Mahaulu, on the part of the Government, made no objections to the notes or map, so also did J.F. ....

.... the Government Survey Station Waiehu bears north 83° 43' West true and Pauwoaku South 73° 27' West true;
24. Thence along seashore to rock in sea at foot of pali below initial point at place called Namahana [overwritten Namahawa?], and then South 32° 44' East true to initial point. The traverse along the sea shore being,
1. North 36° 56' East true 1110 feet;
2. North 70° 33' East true 8050 feet to the Government Survey Station Kikipua;
3. North 88° 6' East true 11510 feet to Puahaunui station;
4. South 80° 7' East true 10480 feet to Lamaloa Station [page 68]
5. South 79° 55' East true 4190 feet to mouth of Halawa stream;
6. South 86° 25' East true 5790 feet to initial point.
Area 8547 Acres
