Lahaina, Maui, February 18th 1891

In the matter of the settlement of the boundaries of the Ili of Naiwa, Island of Molokai.

Application by R.W. Meyer, Agent for the trustees of the Estate of the late Mrs. Bernice Pauahi Bishop

Mr. R. W. Meyer and Mr. M.D. Monsarrat appearing for Mrs. B.P. Bishop and the Hawaiian Government respectively and having filed their authorization to act in the premises the following was agreed to be the true Boundaries of this land, and in accordance with their agreement and their being no other parties of interest, it is decided that the Boundaries of said land of Naiwa, Island of Molokai, are as follows:

1. North 5° 32' East true 320 feet along Ooia, Land Commission Award 7755 to Kaluaokamano along fish pond wall;
2. North 36° 47' West True 77.9 feet along same along fish Pond wall to cross cut on stone;
3. North 81° 26' West True 347.2 feet along same to cross on stone;
4. North 60° 15' West True 417.1 feet along same to rocky point marked [right arrow];
5. North 19° 52' West True 252.8 feet along same;
6. North 85° 7' West True 603.9 feet along same, to rock marked with a cross. From which the Government Survey Station Puu o Kahanui bears north 10°25' East true 2184 feet; thence
7. North 13° 39' East True 562.3 feet along Kahanui called Punalau Pond to rock marked thus [right arrow]
8. North 64° 44' West True 1125.3 feet along same to rock marked with a cross at stone wall;
9. North 58° 10' West true 506.2 feet along same to rock marked with a cross;
10. North 84° 9' West True 715.9 feet along same to rock marked with a cross;
11. North 57° 44' West True 334.8 feet along same to rock marked with a cross;
12. North 14° 37' West True 389.4 feet along Grant 2709 to Haalelea, Apana 4, to cross on stone in valley.
13. North 56° 2' East True 1338.2 feet along same and up valley to cross on stone;
14. North 33° 58' West True 180.2 feet along same and Land Commission Award 7755 to Kaluaokamano to rock marked thus [right arrow) inside valley;
15. South 68° 20' West True 129.7 feet along Palaau to rock marked with cross;

82. Thence along shore and Fish pond walls to initial point. The direct bearing and distance being South 83° 52' West true 2448 feet.

Commencing at a stone marked with a cross at edge of a gulch; from which stone the Government Survey Station Eleuweuwe bears South 28° 23' East true and, Pohakunui bears North 56° 24' West true and running:

1. North 35° 27' East true 695.6 feet along Grant 2557 to Haalelea to point on edge of gulch;
2. North 56° 58' West true 401.8 feet along Grant 2557 along edge of Gulch;
3. North 71° 41' West true 2680 feet along Grant 2557 along edge of gulch and down into gulch to point at Junction of gulch;
4. Thence along Palaau up the bottom of the right hand gulch to point in bottom of same which bears South 35° 27' West true from initial point the direct bearing and distance being South 50° 15' East true 2970 feet; Thence
5. North 35° 27' East true 330 feet along Grant 2557 to the side of the gulch to initial point.
Area 53 acres.

Apana 3
Commencing at a stone marked thus [right arrow] at edge of cliff. From which stone the Government Survey Station Puu Lua bears South 56° 5' West true; Keolewa bears South 84° 42' East true and Puu Olelo bears South 62° 22' East true and running: [page 11]

1. South 72° 27' West true 1133 feet along Palaau, Apana 3 across gulch to large rock on North slope of Puu Lua marked with a cross at a place called Nawaakaluli;
2. South 54° 50' West True 1310 feet along Palaau;
3. North 3° 00' West True 1769.5 feet along Grant 2557 to Haalelea to point on edge of sea cliff to Initial point, the direct bearing and distance being South 73° 15' East true 2340 feet.

I adjudge and devise that the foregoing are the true and lawful boundaries of the Ili of Naiwa, Island of Molokai
