Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Edwin Miner his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Seven Hundred Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Haiku, in the Island of Maui, and described as follows:

Commencing at South corner of thia land at stake on upper edge and North side of deep or Haiku Gulch on boundary line of Pumalie and Lilikoi and running
North 64° 30' East 68 1/2 Chains along mauka boundary of this lan ....
