KAMEHAMEHA III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Barenaba, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Thirty-eight Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Hilo, in the Island of Hawaii, and described as follows:
Commencing at the North point, near the old School house; and running
South 52 1/2° East 54 rods along road to Volcano - thence
South 49 1/2° East 15 1/2 rods to fish Ponds, thence
South 64° West 4 1/2 rods, thence
North 88 1/2° West 18 rods, thence
South 52 1/2° West 6 3/4 rods, thence
North 40° West 9 rods & 10 feet, thence
South 63° West 26 ro ....
