KAMEHAMEHA III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Theophilus Metcalf, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Sixteen and Fifty cents, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Manoa, in the Island of Oahu, and described as follows:
Commencing at Rock marked + at East edge of Manoa River, the South corner of Komokahi and East corner of this Land, and running
North 65° West 1 chain 20 feet up “Pali” to large rock in wall angle, thence
South 80° West 67 4/12 feet along wall to angle, Thence
North 68° 15' West 6 chains 43 feet always along Komokahi to T. Metcalf's dwelling House lot angle, Thence
North 85° West 6 chains 27 8/12 feet to Rock marked + along T. Metcalf's to Wail ....
