Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Daniel Barratt, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of One Hundred and twenty five, 10/100 Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Kona in the Island of Hawaii and described as follows:

Commencing at small Ohia tree marked A, at mauka East angle of this land, on climpers, and running
North 18° 30' East 24 8/10 chains to kukui tree marked D, at mauka North corner of this land, thence
South 51° West 5 chains 62 8/12 feet, along climpers to kukui tree B, thence
South 62° 45' West 12 1/4 chains too kukui tree angle, thence West 8 4/10 chains to pile rocks angle, thence
South 19° 45' West 6 chains 2 8/12 feet to large rock little below Kaawaloa road, angle, thence
South 67° 45' West 4 chains 3 1/2 feet, an ....
