Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto John Peters, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Fifty eight and Six tenths Dollars ($58.60), paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Kanauaue Elua, Kona in the Island of Hawaii and described as follows:

Commencing at Kukui tree marked A at mauka East corner of this joining Haleki (the P. Missions) and running
North 35° 30' West 9 Chains 56 feet along mauka boundary of this to pile stones at the North corner of this land, thence
South 68° 30' West 1 3/4 Chains along Kanaueue 1 (George Thorntons) angle of Kaiwi, thence
South 60° 45' West 5 4/1 ....
