Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this his Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Kalawe, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Ten Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Makawao in the Island of Maui and described as follows:
Commencing at stake at East corner of this and North corner of J.S. Green's land on left huai Pali of Gulch joining McLane's Place and running
North 71° West 11 chains 58 feet along huai Pali and McLane's place to flared Akoko tree North corner of this, thence
