Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Thomas Sweet, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of One Hundred & five 66/100 Dollars , paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Pawaa Apua-hau [Apuakohau], in the Island of Hawaii, and described as follows:
Commencing at a stake on the boundary of Pawaa and Kukuiwahi, thence transversely
North 88° 45' East 208 feet thence
South 77° 15' East 676 feet to a gulch, thence along said gulch
North 10° 30' East 142 feet thence
North 16° 30' East 28 ....
