Liliuokalani, By the Grace of God, Queen Sanford Dole, President of the Provisional Government of the Hawaiian Islands: By this Her Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that She He hath for herself, her heirs and successors, this day granted and given unto Onomea Sugar Company, a corporation duly Incorporated under the laws of the Hawaiian Islands for the consideration of Seven Hundred and Forty-Four ($744.x) Dollars paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that piece of Land situate at Aleamai, Mokuoniki, Alakahi & Puumoi, Hilo in the Island of Hawaii and described as follows:

Beginning at the waterfall in Lalahala gulch and which is the West [angle] of Grant 3140 to William Kinney, Aleamai, the initial point bearing South 14° 39' East true distant 420 feet from the Hawaiian Government Survey [triangle with dot in it – trig] Station “Kalehuaa ....
