By this Patent the Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, in conformity with the laws of the United States of America and of the Territory of Hawaii, makes known to all men that he has this day granted and confirmed unto D.B. Murdoch for the consideration of Two Hundred & Twenty-five 30/100 Dollars $225 30/100, paid into the Treasury. And for the further consideration of their having complied with the terms and conditions in Agreement of Sale Dated January 4th 1896, all of land situate at [left blank], in the District of Kaupo, Island of Maui bounded and described as follows:
Lot No. 3, Public Lands Map No. 1, Fourth Land District
Beginning at Southeast corner of this Lot, at rock +, being 30.8 feet West of Koa Y, the Southeast corner of Lot 6 as shown on Government Survey Registered Map No. 1738, and running by true bearings:
1. North 17° 30' West 304 feet along 30 foot road to rock +;
2. North 20° 00' East 399 feet along 30 foot road to waiwai tree;
3. North 47° 20' East 218 feet along 30 foot road to Koa post 3;
4. North 25° 00' East 601 feet along 30 foot road to Koa tree 4;
