No. 398, Naleipuleho
N.R. 131v2

A letter telling of the claim to a houselot at Wailuku, telling of how I got this place. I asked Kailihiwa and was given it. The reason I got it is that I was the school teacher at that time. I came as a stranger in 1835 and was there until the year 1847, and lived here. Kailihiwa is the true witness; he is the konohiki. At this time he has been removed and Keaki of Wailuku has it.

.... Word of God, Nalaipuleho's property is at Halaula. He had asked me, and I gave him that property because he had no land. The boundary mauka is the road, by the stream, a ditch, makai a poalima patch, some patches on the south and there is a prison patch there also. At the time of living together with Limaikaika in Wailuku here, I did not hear or see that there were any objections.
