To the Land Commissioners: I hereby state to you my /claim for/ my `ili in Wailuku, Maui, named Waiaka. it was from Kailihiwa,, who was dispossessed, and the land transferred to Mahune, and I am here at this time /as the actual occupant/.

I have a total of 50 lo`i and I acquired that `ili on the 23rd of February 1840. That is my explanation to you, the Land Commissioners.
