No. 8928, Kalua
N.R. 257v7

Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I, Kalua, living in the Ahupua`a of Kapualei on the Island of Molokai, have an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Kapualei. It is a taro `ili, as far as the sweet potato kula. I acquired this `ili in 1845. The portion which I have measured is 84 fathoms, however it is not entirely finished in measuring - a portion remains which is not measured. It is for you, the Commissioners, to consider the validity of this claim. Aloha to you all, Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles.
