Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I have a claim in the `ili, named Kahepapala, in the Ahupua`a of Halawa on the Island of Molokai. The `ili on the makai side is Kuewa, for Nahuaai, the `ili on the mauka side is Elelu, for Inui.

I have had this `ili for a very long time. It was received from the konohiki Paia the First, and I have occupied and cultivated this land, which is 91 by 140. It is lo`i land and there is a mountain olona area. Formerly I went to the po`alima labor days but at this time am exempt because of having four children.
