The Land Commissioners, greetings: I hereby state my claim for land. I Kahookane, a Hawaiian subject living at Waioli, island of Kauai, have four lo`i. On the north, they are 4 chains 7 fathoms, on the east, 3 chains 3 feet, on the south 2 chains 7 fathoms, on the west, chains. There is a kula in another place which has not been measured.

The house lot is large with five tenants on it - Kupihea, Halai, Nalimanui, Hakui and Kaaikaula.

Kaleikini, sworn, I have know this land of Kahookane exactly in the same way as Pepee has related here.
