To the Land Commissioners: I, Malamanui am a claimant of land at Pupukea. In the mo`o of Kanawai is an upland, a kula and a salt land, bounded on the north by Punahoa's /land/, on the east by an upland, on the south by Ku's land, on the rest by the sea. Here are the claims in other places: One `ill is in the mo`o of Ku, inland and at the sea. It enters into Ku's mo`o. Also, in the mo`o of Pohakahi is one `ili, surrounded by his boundaries. Also, in the mo`o of Kuia, there is one `ili. Also there is a small cultivated lot in the mo`o of Kaiwi. Two `ili are in the mo`o of Nakapalau. That is ....

.... ki, sworn, I know of two apana of land, Kuaiopelu is the mo`o of Keauhou. Apana 2 is one lo`i in Amanui.
Apana 1:
Mauka, land of Keliiwaiwaiole
Waialua, land of Kalainaina
Makai, land of Haopulupulu
Kahuku, road.
Apana 2:
Mauka, land of Kauhalu
Waialua, road
Makai, land of Naonea
Kahuku, muliwai.
These were received from Hewahewa in the time of Kaahumanu and were occupied in peace until the time of working of claims when they were taken by the konohiki /after/ fifteen years.
