Greetings to the Land Commissioners: My claim is for an entire `Ili. On the north is a pali, on the east is the `Ili of Kahauiki, on the south is the `Ili of Lanikahuli, on the west is the `Ili of Ulukee. Our occupancy of this `Ili has been from the time of our makuas, and when they died they bequeathed it to us. Our makuas lived here in the time of Kamehameha I, until the time the Fort /was built/. They both died, leaving us, until the year 1832, then the land was conveyed absolutely to us. Our makuas had the land from Kawaapeleuli.
I also have some other lo`is in the `Ili of Ulukee, also a steep potato planting, also in the valley is a place cultivated by me, in taro and wauke. Hewahewa gave me these lo`i and the steep potato planti ....
