To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I, B. Pale, am a kama`aina /native-born resident/ of Kawailoa, Waialua. My right of occupancy on this land is from /the time of/ Kamehameha III.

Here is my land of Owanahulu luna, Waialua, four lo`i, bounded on the east by the land of Emesona /Emerson/, on the southeast by a house lot of Emesona, on the northwest by the land of Kuokoa and of Kamahalo, on the north by a muliwai. Furthermore, there are some lands within Owanahulu luna, two squid fisheries, Keawaiki and Paaeawea /sp?/, two `opelu /mackerel/ fishing groun ....
