To the Honorable Land Commissioners of the Hawaiian Islands, Greetings: I hereby tell you of my claim for land, taro patch, kula, and house, in accordance with the law directing us to do so. This land is at Nukee, Honouliuli, Ewa, Island of Oahu. My houses are bounded on the north by the pali of Kaakau, on the east by the sea of Kepoe, on the south by the pond of Nihola, on the west by the land of Aaron Nakai and the auwai of Kauwahine. My taro patches are bounded on the north by the land of Aaron Nakai, on the east by the auwai of Kauwahine, on the south by the pond of Nihola, on the west by the land of Aaron Nakai. One of my land claims is bounded by, on the north, the land of Kuhemu, on the east by the pond of Nihola, on the south by the land of Kawahamana, on the west by the land of Hapauea. The third of my claims is bounded on ....

Kaunahi's land had been from Honaunau. A house is there but there is no fence and Kaunahi is living under Honaunau in his house for he (Honaunau) is the konohiki.

Kaunahi received this place without any cost in the year 1838 and no one has objected to this land."

Kinolua, sworn and stated, "I have seen this property and everything is exactly as Kuhenui has just related here."
