To the President of the Honorable Land Commissioners of the Hawaiian Islands, Greetings: I hereby tell you of my claim for my land at Kaaumakua in Honouliuli, on the Island of Oahu. It is bounded on the north by the taro patches of Alae and Waa and Loloulu, on the east by the po`alima patch of Kuaihee and the land of Perekane, on the south by the fence of Kaaumakua, on the west by the land of Naholowaa and some houses also. The place where these houses stand was given me by Kaope, however, ....

These are four patches. The land has been cultivated properly, but there is no house on this place. Kalama's land had been from Kaope and Kaope's interest had been from Kawaa during the time of Kuihelani. Kalama has lived since that time to the present with peace; no one has objected."
