M. Kekuanaoa, sworn for claimant, I know the land of claimant in Kalihi valley. It is an ili called Apili, I think, divided in many pieces of kalo & upland. I have always heard he obtained it from Kaahumanu in 1829 or 1829 and he has always occupied it in peace since the gift. I know of no counter claim, could not define the land particularly, though I know its outlines.

J. Ii, sworn, I have seen this land of which I think the name Apili. I do not know the boundaries of the land, but Adams' land is from Kaahumanu acquired in the year 1828 or 9 and he has always lived there to the present time; no one has objected.
