To the Land Commissioners, greetings: Because of the new law for claimants of house lots:

1. House lot at Kuhua, land which the Mo`i, Kamehameha III gave me. It is bounded on the northwest by the lot of Piianaia, also the old road is on the north. The lot of Isaac Kanae is on the northwest, and the government road is on the west.

2. House lot at Kuhua adjoining Aki. It is bounded by the lot of Akoni on the southwest, the patches of Kekauonohi on the north, the road going up to the place of Imiwale on the northwest, and the government road is also on the west.

3. House lot which is on the west of the lot described above. It is bounded by the lot of Kaleoku on the southwest, the government road on the north, the lot of Timothy Keaweiwi on the n ....

3. Thus are the boundaries of the third lot:
Kekauonohi's lot toward the mountain
the small street and Imiwale's Ewa [sic?]
Kanae's lot and Papa's lot toward the sea, and
Piianaia's lot Kaanapali.

This property has been enclosed and six houses are in there. Those houses are for Liwai's caretakers while the land is for Liwai and these people work for Liwai, but I do not know their names. Lots one and two had been for Liwai's parents during the time of Kaahumanu. The third lot is for Haalilio and some people on that lot are protesting for their interest."

Namauu, sworn and stated, "I have seen this third lot of Liwai and it is exactly as Kaauwai has just stated here.
