To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: because of the enactment of the Law by Kamehameha III, the King of the Hawaiian Islands, telling the people to state their claims - therefore, I hereby tell of my claim for a house lot at Waikiki in Pawaa, Island of Oahu.

The right to my lot was from Kinau and it was really given to me, not to my kane. It was I, myself, who went to ask because we had no house lot. Because of the residence there of my makuas, a lot was first secured for my makuas, and after this, my Chiefess gave me a little lot. When my kane sailed for England, he denied me and the `li`i. My lot was sol ....

.... ted Kaioe's request. I had not known that Keaka had a lot there. When he returned from England he built four houses and the fifth house, this person here built it. Keaka has sold it to someone at the present time which leaves his wife destitute.
