To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby tell you of my land claim at Kahauiki, Island of Oahu. It is bounded on the north by the boundary of Moanalua, on the east by the ridge adjoining Kalihi, on the south by the stream lying exactly in the middle of Kahau iki: on the west by the island of Mokumoa and Kaihikapu Pond. I have lived on this claim of which I am telling you from the year 1837 until today.

.... pox, then the land was transmitted to Kaenuhe, the grandchild.
In 1854, which is this year, there has been an opposition by the new konohiki, J.W.E Makai, who is desirous of growing plants, but Kaenuhe's grandparents are still doing konohiki labor yet for these lands. The konohiki wants to take the land which is a violation to the statutes which are in effect now, however, Kaenuhe continues to hold on to the land.
Kimo, sworn, I have seen Ewa's claim just as Wailua has related here, but the konohiki did take this claim on his own, decision "the tenants have no rights." It was Ehu who took it. I am the overseeing konohiki at this time.
