Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby tell you of my house lot claim, in Honolulu, on the north side of the Estuary. It is bounded on the east side and the south side by a stream; on the west side by the lots of Wahine and Paele; on the north by the land of Kalamalii. This right is from Kamehameha I. Malupo was the one who occupied this place at that time. On his death it was left to his wahine, Hailuna, who gave it to us. My wahine, Kahalehau, who is living in this place at this time, is their ....

Hooliliananu, sworn, I had given him /land/ in the year 1843 and I had received my interest from Kekuanaoa. He /Kaawa/ had been doing Friday work previously and had stopped when he had become a school officer. No one had objected.
