To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby tell of my claim for three lo`i. The fourth is objected to by the konohiki. The right to these four lo`i dates from the death of Kaahumanu the Second, but the occupation by Kuhu, from whom I got it, was from Kaahumanu the First. I am an heir, a kaiko`eke and have occupied it until today.

Only one person has objected to me, ....
