The Land Claim of Wahiawa and Nahinu at Moanalua No. 6.

To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: We, the undersigned, hereby petition for our land claim at Moanalua. We have a single lo`i only, in the `ili of Kaaula, in the Ahupua`a of Moanalua. The boundaries are: adjoining on the north the small lo`is of Pepehu and Kamai, on the east the lo`i of Pepehu, and the lo`i of Koki, on the south, the lo`i of Piheka, on the west, the mo`os of Kaawa and Kemai. Those are the boundaries of our lo`i at Moanalua. Aala,

.... ina, witness for Wahiawa, sworn, I know that the boundaries which are mentioned above are true and are the patches whereon they both are living. Kealoha had given Wahiawa his patch in the year 1844 and Wahiawa had one-half of that interest to Nahinu.

Kealoha, sworn, Keaweolalo had given me my interest; she is the wife of Kaaemua and this was probably in the year 1845.

Here is the agreement which was made by the land officers: Wahiava shall receive one-half of the patch and the other half shall be for Nahinu; no one had objected.
