To the Land Commissioners, Greetings, in God: I, the undersigned, hereby state to you my claim for land in the `ili of Hauhaukoi nui in Honolulu, consisting of one mo`o of five taro lo`i: on the north is Kahawaii, on the south is Lai's, on the west is Kaha-wali, on the east is Keoneula.

My house lot is another claim, at Hauhaukoi iki. It is finished.

Kaheana, sworn, Kianui's statements are true. The house site and the house are for him and I have no rights there. I have a separate land. Today I am returning to him the house and beneath it are for him, yet I shall live there just as our parents have done, providing my young brother, Kianui, willingly consents to this.
