A letter of petition to you, the Land Commissioners of the Hawaiian Government: I hereby petition for my lo`is at Puanea in Waihee. There are 41 lo`i at Puanea. At Makaaka are 11 lo`i, a total of 52 lo`i, and two kula which I work on with my own hands.

My right of occupancy at Puanea is from the time of Ka ....
