To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby petition for my claim for the `Ili called Kapoino in Waiehu, Maui. It was fenced /or walled/ by the Premier of the Kingdom, M. Kekauluohi. My makuas lived a long time on this land, from the time of Keinokama until Loka, the ali`i. My makua died in 1843 and I was bequeathed the land under Loka, the ali`i. In the month of September A.D. 1845, I was dispossessed and the land given to someone else.
