The Land Commissioners, greetings I, Pelekane hereby state my claim. I am a Hawaiian subject living on the island of Kauai. I have four lo`i, the kula is a fathom /in width?/; however, my house is in another place. I received my lo`is from P. Kanoa.

Lalahilimoku, sworn, says he knows the Land of Claimant. It is in Hanamaulu & consists of 4 Lois and in the ili of Kapuhala. Claimant has also a house lot near the sea shore at a place called Kahoewa.

vs. Konohiki

Pelekane related that he had received this land in the year work on claims was started in 1846. Honolii the assistant Konohiki granted him this land upon his request because the man who owned the land had rejected it and had left it over grown with weeds. In July 1851, Keo, the Konohiki took two lois for himself and leaving two lois for Pelekane. Postponed, to be continued.
