Here is Kaiae's claim: Kaououku is the name. Kaiae received it from Kalia, who had it from Auwae. When Auwae died, Kawailepolepo was in charge and Kaiae continued in possession. Then Kailihiwa was in charge and was dispossessed; then a part of Kaououku was taken by Mahune as part of the "Acres." This land became a ku for Kalama, wife of the Mo`i. Kekukahiko was under Kalama, however, Kaiae was the konohiki under Kekukahiko.
