To the Land Commissioners of the Hawaiian Islands, Greetings: I hereby state my claim for land in the `Ili of Kapuhau in Waikapu, Island of Maui. There are 33 lo`i there, bounded on the north by Palama, on the east by Kapalaalaea, on the south by Palama also, and on the west by Palama. I also have a small house site there and also a kula which adjoin on the north side of my `Ili which I have had from ancient times. It was given me by Puupahoehoe and I have had peaceful and undisputed possession of it ....
