The Land Commissioners, greetings: I, Kaanaana, a Hawaiian subject living at Koloa in the `ili of Kikiaola on the island of Kauai, hereby state my claim for land; however it is not all situated alike. Some is in another place, and some is at Hulaia. The boundaries of Kikiaola are: the land of Kekanio and Kalapapohaku and the ascent of Mahaulepu are on the north, Kamaemae and Palaalaea and Pohakuomakalii are on the south, a kula as far as the wall in the lee of the lot, is on the west. Those are the boundaries of my claim.

In another place are three lo`i. One lo`i I bought in an auction from the school superintendent. Also, there is my house lot, bounded on the north and east by a wall, on the west by a stream and the lot of Kanehoa. I received these from ....

Section 2 was from his friend Moo in 1847.

Section 3 was bought from the superintendent of schools for $60.00 and John Young brought it down twenty dollars.

Section 4 came from Koakanu after the war. No one has objected.
